| Olivia was our beautiful dun Quarter Horse mare with a 100% imported pedigree known affectionately as 'Mother Gorgeous'. She has had a string of Champion Appaloosa, Quarter Horse and now Paint foals. In 2001 she produced a gorgeous overo filly by Just Shameless - 'Sheza Grand Sensation'.
In 2002, again she produced a stunning buckskin filly by 'Shameless' - 'Up Close N Shameless' who has a string of champion and futurity wins as a weanling and yearling and now has her ROM in halter. In 2003 she produced yet another gorgeous filly!. 'Shine N Shame' is a beautiful dun solid filly packed with muscle and that 'Shameless' personality! 'Shine N Shame' is owned by Natalie Musgrove of Triple B Paints in Victoria, and in 2005 Natalie and 'Honey' won the OPEN YEARLING FUTURITY at the AUSTRALIAN QUARTER HORSE CONGRESS. In October 2004 the fourth of her foals arrived by 'Shameless' - this time a solid dun colt we have named 'Never The Less' (or 'Andy' to his friends). While we are disappointed he is not coloured, he has the most delightful personality that has totally captivated us from when he was 1 day old! Natalie loved her Honey so much, she also bought 'Andy'. In 2005 Olivia produced yet another filly we named 'Well Connected' ('June') - this time, she was a colour that bamboozled us! We think she is 'flaxen' liver chestnut - she is dark liver chestnut with silver/gold mane and tail, a most unusual colour! Olivia's pedigree and her progeny are a testament to her. She was a great, great mare. Oliva spent the last 20 years of her life with us. In 2019 we said farewell to our darling Shines Olivia. She was laid to rest, approaching her 36th birtday. It was a tough decision and she is sadly missed. But her legacy lives on in our wonderful mares and her many, many grandkids and great-grandkids! |
